Lots of Hot Air are pleased to confirm that 2 spaces have been reserved for the Bristol International Balloon Fiesta 2009.

The Bristol International Balloon Fiesta is the biggest ballooning event in the UK and attracts in excess of 500,000 visitors, including the famous night glow.

The Icicle is over for another year, but what a fantastic event.    We managed to get two flights completed from Savernake Forest with around 50 other balloons.

The Saturday morning flight saw us drift towards the west and land in Oare after experiencing a very hard land as a result of wind curlover from the trees.

The Sunday morning flight was just as eventful, with a propane leak in the basket just before takeoff, thankfully we sorted the  problem and we to West Woodhay and landed after 40 minutes after clearing miles and miles of no landing zones.

Fantastic event!  And we will be back next year…

The first week of 2009 brings the first Balloon Meet of the year at Warren Farm, Wiltshire.

The 37th Annual International Icicle Balloon Meet will take place on the 3rd and 4th January 2009 at Warren Farm, Savernake Forest, Marlborough, Wilts SN8 3BQ (Map 174/246653).

Lots of Hot Air will be attending the event, should the weather be kind to us over the weekend, we hope to post pictures and perhaps even a few videos from the event!
